Utah Christmas

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Meghan loved decorating Nana's Christmas tree with whatever she had on hand. The Lincoln Logs were the most popular, but baby toys and ribbons worked great. Yes, eventually we did get out real decorations which resulted in a Nutcracker convention in that same spot where her toy decorations previously resided.

Hee hee hee. You'll never find me in my secret fortress.

Reach! If only I could just REEEEEAAAAACH!

Sleepy Babies.

Vivian and her pink chair.

This was her favorite toy. The chair was just the right weight, the right dimensions, the right texture for holding and chewing.

Still Growing

You're Older Than You've Ever Been

And now you're even older! Happy Birthday Meghan (belated on the blog although my excuse is that I'm trying to confuse any identity bandits trying to clean her info from my website...).

Meghan's Rainbow Cake

And now for a present opening montage:

Machines Are Taking Our Jobs

Deport Them To Japan!

What do you mean, it frees me up to be more efficient with my time and save me from monotonous repetitive labor? Blasphemy! You'll be hearing from my union spokesperson!

PS: Thank you Mike and Katie for my new toy.

PPS: Technically, "KitchenAid products are manufactured in Ohio, South Carolina, Mississippi, Indiana, Arkansas, Ontario, and Quebec, and its appliances are distributed throughout North America." So I guess that would be "Deport Them To Canada!"

Cousins

We were visited by some of our VonNiederhausern kin on their way to another part of California. We love having guests, so we broke out the party wagon.

Scarlett is such a Ham.

My Baby Can Teleport

Where she started.

Where I found her three minutes later when I came back.

Conclusion? My baby can teleport.

How awesome is that?

It's my new Trump Card in Mompetitions. Example:

Other Mother: My daughter is 2. She now speaks five languages including Xhosa (you know, the African one with the clicks?), can forge Thomas Jefferson's signature and was reading at the age of 3 months. And she's potty trained.

Me: [significant pause] My baby can teleport.

BAM! I win.

Granny's Sweaters

Granny finished Meghan's sweater and sent it out to us. Here Meg is sporting it.

Nonwalking Walker

We got this because Vivian wanted to sit up and visit instead of slouch in a bouncer. I was going to get a saucer but we have so little room. This kills two birds with one stone and it folds down for easy storing!

Pony Girl

Trip(s) to Google

Since Brian and Chriss were here, we decided to take a trip to Google so they could see all the puppies and rainbows. However it wasn't a very well planned trip. While Kyle was driving back home to get his badge, we walked at the nature trail that is right next to Kyle's buildings.

By the end of it Meghan was tired of all the walking.

Waiting for Kyle and Brian to bring the cars.

Well, we didn't get much done that first round and had to leave shortly after Kyle got back because it was lunch time. But Kyle took Brian and Chriss back up the next day to play pool and see some of the cool Google statues.

I think there is some sort of significance with all the food but I can't quite remember what it is.

Brian got to try out a Google Bike.

Chriss Our Stylist

With Uncle Brian and Aunt Chriss here the girls got all kinds of excitement they usually don't get. One such treat: hairdos!

Trust me. Addy's hair is hard to do.

Thanksgiving 2010

My first Thanksgiving where I was in charge of the meal! It was way fun, but I was tired when it was all over. Brian and Chriss came so it was quite the party.
