New Sweaters

Granny VonNiederhausern knit some sweaters for the girls. The purple was intended for Vivian and the yellow one for Adelaide.

Addy wasn't awake so Meghan modeled the yellow sweater.
When Addy woke up she was not happy and did not want to wear her sweater or get her pictures taken. Whenever Addy is mad, she will run into the kitchen to hide. In the first shot, Meghan is trying to coax her out to get her photo taken.

For some reason this shot reminds me of some of my baby photos. Maybe it's the dark graininess and the expression.

Lucky Addy can wear both sweaters.

Boardwalk Revisited

We took Janelle to Boardwalk. With a season pass, Meghan was able to go on as many rides as she wanted. Plus, we got a free All Day pass with it so Janelle could ride all the rides with Meghan too. They even rode on the family friendly roller coaster - apparently Meghan thought it was awesome. Addy got to go on quite a few, but she's a little small for most of the rides. Maybe next year.

The carousel. Did you know carousels originated as military training equipment? It was used for training cavalry. They would practice spearing rings around the circumference.

Waiting for the helicopter ride...
which Addy did not enjoy.

The little whales were a much better ride.

They loved the dragon ride. They went around and around, running immediately back into line when they were done.

Vivian and I had lots of time to take Baby Close-Ups.

Hrmmmm... this one could have turned out better.

Sadly we accidentally dropped the camera about here so we had to do without the rest of the time. Luckily, it was not permanently broken, although I did have to reset the date on it.
The girls slept on the ride home which was fortunate since we got lost and ended up in Fremont. We figure it was either because of Aliens or the Beguilements of the Devil.
We did make it home eventually though, a little tired and sunburned for all our funs and troubles.

Life as Vivian

Hi, my sister!
Ach! What are you doing?!
Oh. OK, then.

This is my serious face. It is my goal in life for all my photos to look like this.

Trying on Granny's sweater she made for me. I love it. Can't you tell?

Yum... hands...

Fine, I'll give you just one smile.

But Janelle is so funny! I can't help myself!

Rengstorff Park - Janelle Visits

We were so excited to have Janelle come visit us. We had lots of exciting adventures. Since Rengstorff is lots of fun, we took Janelle there.

The slides were the most popular activity of the day. Although I was slightly frustrated that we brought two whole cardboard boxes and Meghan decided she didn't want to use them. Fortunately there were plenty of kids at the park who wanted to play with them.

While the kids played, I sat with Vivian. I took the opportunity to practice my Baby Face Close-Ups.

Awwwww. She's so sweet.

Biker Addy

Every time Kyle comes home from work, Addy makes a bid for his helmet. Here she finally succeeded. Once suited up she knew exactly what she was supposed to do.

I love that her little ponytail sticks up through the helmet. Although, she took it off before we could get a picture so we had to hold her down and rehelmet her just so we could get a shot.
