A Visitor From the North

No, It's not Santa. It's Janelle!

We had lots of fun with Aunt Janelle when she came to visit. There was dress-up, nail painting, beach, zoo and Disney and lots of movies! Meghan's toenails are still blue from the experience and she told me that we needed to fly to Utah so Janelle can paint her fingernails again.

Dress up is always a popular game at our house and its even more fun when Meghan can get an adult to play with her. Cue Janelle. At first Janelle wasn't sure how to put on a dress made for a three year old.

But she soon figured it out.

Janelle and the Brevard Zoo

Here is Addy helping people get ready. She brings shoes and tries to put them on people's feet for them.

Sorry there aren't very many pictures. My camera is heavy and cumbersome to lug around so we relied on Janelle's for our trips.

Meghan talked to the animals and often commented on the mommy's finding their babies. We fed the fish and there were some crazy birds who would swoop down and snatch the fish food out of the air if you threw it high enough.
The Brevard Zoo is separated into areas like Africa, South America, Native Florida and Australia. South America was probably the biggest and best section.

Meghan wasn't always a happy camper on our trip.
But she cheered up at the kids play area.

Janelle and the Ibises

We went to the park and fed the ibises stale Dora cheerios and ice cream cones. They were pretty fearless and would walk right up to you. The whole flock would follow you for yards and yards if they thought you might feed them.

There is actually a hilarious video that goes with our feed the ibises adventure. I will have to see if Kyle can get it up here.

Janelle and Disney World

Dreams come true!

Disney was lots of fun. Meghan's favorite part was meeting Ariel. But since it was the longest wait of ANY of the rides we went on that day, we only went to see Ariel once.

Sadly, it too me most of the ride to figure out how the Dumbo elephants worked. So by the time I was able to make it go up and down, I got to go up once and then the ride was over. Kyle, of course, was a master as soon as he sat in the seat.

The Merry-Go-Round was another popular ride.

And the teacups were CRAZY and made me so dizzy. Meghan couldn't decide if she liked them or not.

Here we are playing with the big star-map in Tomorrow Land. Meghan thought this was the neatest thing. Once she turned around to go back to play with it and scared me to death because my kid was missing. Fortunately, most people are helpful and pointed out the fleeing child pushing an empty blue stroller.

Everyone was tired by the end and we went home shortly after the obligatory Its A Small World ride.
