Adelaide's Baby Blessing

While Nana and Oompa were here (Kyle's parents) we had Adelaide's baby blessing. After the baby blessing, the party met at our house since we have air conditioning. In fact, several of the Florida guests were cold in our chilly 77 degree house and requested blankets to keep warm. There was lots of good food and fun conversation.

Bubbles!

Here is Meghan playing with bubbles from a bubble blowing machine that her Oompa bought for her. It was lots of fun although it made the patio slippery.

Fun with Clothes

Meghan loves dressing up, especially in big people clothes. She is always trotting around in my white wedding shoes. Here she is wearing her Daddy's shirt, Oompa's shirt and Oompa's socks.

She has also started attempting to dress herself. Here she is wearing her dress that I had taken off of her earlier that day. She got the basic idea of head-through-the-hole but missed a bit in her execution of the principle.

Beach Party with the Hurricanes

This was the beach a few weeks ago when the three hurricanes were churning in the Atlantic. The boys played "Human Chain" where they all held hands to see if the waves were strong enough to knock them apart. And yes, the waves could. Kyle took Meghan down (in a lifejacket) and she repeatedly got bowled over. Once she was done, Kyle swam out quite a distance until his wife yelled at him to come back before a ripcurrent got him. Adelaide slept up in the pavilion where the moms were visiting.

After the beach, the party moved to Sonia's house where the adults visited, the girls watched "Elf", the boys played video games and Kyle played paparazzi.

Do you like my hat?

She got this hat from Grandma since it doesn't fit Hyrum any longer.

"Eep! Don't hurt me!"

Sleeping with Daddy

"Please, sir, may I have some more?"

I swear I do not do this to her hair. I try to make it lie flat, but no matter how wet I get it or how hard I try it slowly raises up like a bird's crest.

"No pictures please"

Full Recovery

For those of you who were wondering, my face has made a full recovery. I no longer suffer from Bell's Palsy. I mostly recovered before Adelaide was born (except for a little weakness in my smile and eyebrow) but have just been too busy to make a note of it here. I'm truly blessed not to have it last longer than it did.

Ooohh!

As Tanya and I were wrapping up family home evening tonight, I leaned over and gave Tanya a kiss. "Oooohhh!" Meghan exclaimed, "Daddy's biting Mommy!". Tanya and I both laughed and explained that daddy was not biting mommy. Meghan says a lot of things that make us laugh, and I thought I'd share this one.
