Hyrum Has a Giant Hamburger

We went to Grandma's House for Sunday dinner.  Albert brought over his Jumbo Hamburger gear.  So we divided into teams and made hamburgers.

 There were three hamburger recipes and three teams.  So of course it turned into a competition.

Team "Gourmet Burger"

Gourmet Burger took home all the prizes.  And no, Hyrum couldn't finish all of it.

 While Hyrum was here, we visited this park by what is now our new house, although we were just turning in an application at the time.

Hyrum Goes Camping

We took Hyrum camping at Manresa State Beach.  A nice little camping place, though you have to carry all your stuff to your campsite and park your car a distance further away.

But it was perfectly positioned to visit....

HAHAHAHA.  You thought this would be more camping pictures, didn't you! But no! We tricked you into more Boardwalk pictures.  MWAHAHA!  HA! Ha.  Aha ha. Ahem.

Well, it's true we camped and had lots of fun at that, but I forgot to take pictures of it.  I guess it got lost in the making-pancakes-over-a-fire-with-only-an-old-rickety-skillet-and-blue-plastic-spatula hullabaloo.  Also, the only-logs-of-wood-but-no-tinder-or-kindling-and-no-using-fall-wood-allowed-so-use-a-pocketknife-to-make-some hullabaloo.  Also, the stop-reading-get-back-to-work-Hyrum hullabaloo.  Also, the Kyle-showering-three-babies-in-a-coin-operated-shower-while-Mom-makes-fire-pancakes hullabaloo.  And the why-did-we-bring-marshmallows-if-no-one-wants-to-cook-them hullabaloo.  There was an awful lot of hullabaloo going on at that campsite.

Friday we went down to boardwalk early.  Early enough it wasn't open for business so we went down to the pier and looked at sea lions. 

  Vivian was a little less than impressed with the sea lions.

There was also starfish clinging to the pier.

Here's an albino one.  Awesome.

Then we rode rides.
