The Mini Butt Christmas

Since we were in Utah for Christmas, we took the opportunity one evening to share gifts with the Vonn side of the family. First we had to clean up... and then fix the vacuum and clean up again.

The little children played

opening ceremonies performed

presents were opened

and Sam was ill with a headache (HeadOn - apply directly to forehead).

So a good time was had by all.

Meghan's Babies

Here is Meghan with the twin dollies she got from her Oompa and Nana for her birthday. They're a lot of work for her. Here she is putting them down for a nap. I can honestly say I feel like that a lot with my babies...

Big Helper

Here is Meghan helping Kyle unload the dishwasher.

Now in 3D!

We found this gem in the $5 Walmart bin. I remember watching it when I was younger. So we just had to pick it up. It was lots of fun but the 3D makes me sick and its hard to use the glasses when you already wear glasses. Steven found a way to kind of make it work but I just opted to watch without.

Riding the Daddy Horse

Here are the girls playing with their Daddy.

But this one is my favorite: if you look you can see Meghan peeking at the camera.

Tickle Me Addy

Tickle-Me-Addy laughs when tickled.

Family Portrait

This one is my favorite.

But this one is probably better for a wall or something.
How do professional photographers get babies to look in the right place and have pleasant expressions?

Party Day at the Butt House

Kind of a creepy doll, isn't it? The cousins were over for a visit the other day because Katie was getting tires for Mike's car from Sam's club. It was lots of fun. Adelaide was loved and petted and had plenty of toys shared with her. Meghan, on the other hand, didn't have as much fun.
She spent a lot of time in timeout. That girl was in and out and in again like one of those moles in the whack-a-mole game. Speaking of Whack-A-Mole, this is why she was in TimeOut:
Poor Lelia. Meghan just couldn't keep from hitting.
Oh, and Kyle demonstrated the sound blocking qualities of his new headphones marvelously.
He sat on the couch working on the laptop the ENTIRE time. He didn't hear any of the screaming, laughter or for that matter anything anyone said to him. Steven had great fun making him nod to statements like "Nod if I can have all your money."

Scarlet wasn't happy when her mom left to get the tires, but they all settled down to watch some Meghan videos on our blog.
That's right parents, Meghan's Cooking Show is a GUARANTEED Child Calming Device. Kid Tested, Grandma Approved.

The Hat Thief

Meghan loves Addy's clothes. I'm frequently chasing her out of Adelaide's drawers where she is often rummaging and attempting to try things on. Unfortunately for her, Addy's clothes are 2 years too small. But Meghan has found one thing that fits. Admittedly, it's a tight fit and it looks like Winnie the Pooh is eating her, but I'm sure she had the warm glowy feeling of victory when she actually got it onto her head. "Take that Mom. I CAN fit into Addy's clothes."

Trauma Center Buddies

So since Adelaide holds herself up so well, we thought we would try her in the trauma center. She's still a little short, but she likes looking at the toys. Meghan likes playing with it too. Sometimes she will crawl under it while Addy is in it.

I have also gone back to the old hanging-toys-on-Kyle's-guitar-chair trick. Adelaide likes it too, especially when Meghan crawls in to join her. They are such good sisters.

Guests from Utah

Kyle's brother Brian and Brian's wife Chris came down for a short visit this last week. They got to enjoy quite a bit of Florida. They went to the beach, rode an airboat and canoed to Boy Scout Island. They enjoyed a lot of Meghan and Addy time. They saw alligators, crabs, pelicans, and collected a bunch of neat shells. Here are some pictures of our week.

Here Brian and Kyle are looking for geckos.

We're waiting for the airboat ride.

And just chilling at home.

Meghan's 3-Dollar Tent

The day that Kyle's brother and sister-in-law arrived, we went garage sale-ing! At one place, we found a gigantic inflatable Eeyore doll, but the people wanted $40! No way. So we moved onward, but Meghan was very distraught that we did not get Eeyore. So we found this little Disney Princesses tent at the next place. And she loves it. Its the best $3 investment I've made in a while.

Also purchased was a 50 cent backgammon game, a $15 toy box. Of course, Meghan does not think it's a toy box at all, but a Meghan Box.
